Dear non-Australian visitors!

 

Please be advised that all non-Australian applicants may apply for visa to the Consulate General of Russia in Sydney only upon presentation of proof of residence for more than 90 days in Australia. One of the following documents should be submitted to confirm this: a valid applicant’s Australian visa, Australian Certificate of citizenship, Australian passport, work/study permit, letter from employer specifying the start date of their employment or in case of students, letter from University/College specifying the date of enrolment and course details.

 

Citizens of Algeria, Angola, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Chad, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Syria and Vietnam must have the status of Australian permanent resident to apply for a visa in Sydney. Additionally they need to submit airflight tickets, hotel booking and copy of passport

 

Citizens of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland should submit medical insurance certificate valid for Russia for all period of stay. The insurance must contain:

  • the policy number;
  • the full name of the person insured;
  • o the policy must cover territory of Russia and the entire period of stay there
  • a list of medical and medical-transport services provided for, including repatriation;
  • the minimum amount of cover must be 30,000 EUR;
